Sending Payments via RTGS in Axis Bank

There are two methods to initiate payments through Axis Bank RTGS:

1. RTGS via Bank Branch: If you prefer the offline route, visit your nearest Axis Bank branch. Request an RTGS Form or Slip, and fill in all the required details. Submit the completed form to the cashier, and your bank branch will process the payment to the recipient within 2 working hours.

2. RTGS Via Internet Banking: Alternatively, you can send money through RTGS using your Axis Bank Internet Banking Service. To do this, log in to the Axis Bank website and add a new beneficiary. Once added, you can make payments through RTGS. Online RTGS is available to all Axis Bank customers with Internet Banking and full transaction rights.

  2. On the left-hand side navigation bar, locate and click on “Other Bank Transfer – RTGS” under the Funds Transfer section.
  3. Fill in all the necessary details, including the transfer amount, destination account number, IFSC Code, beneficiary name, and payment details. Once all these details are accurately entered, a unique transaction confirmation number will be generated. This number should be used for any inquiries related to this specific transaction.

Under regular circumstances, the beneficiary branches are expected to receive transferred funds in real-time, immediately upon the transfer initiated by the remitting bank. The beneficiary bank is required to credit the beneficiary’s account within 30 minutes of receiving the funds transfer message.

RTGS transactions can be initiated around the clock through Retail Internet Banking and Corporate Internet Banking, subject to the following conditions:

  • Between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm: Transactions are subject to customer approval limits.
  • From 6:00 pm to 7:00 am (including the 2nd and 4th Saturday, Sunday, and Bank Holidays): Transactions up to INR 1 Crore can be processed.

When is the Beneficiary Account Credited?
