EPFO recently launched a mobile app to facilitate accessing EPF balance and other account details. Once the EPFO Mobile App is downloaded, members can activate their UAN accounts and access their account specifics, such as monthly credits and personal information. EPF pensioners can also check their pension disbursement details through this Android mobile app. Additionally, employers can view their remittance details. The new EPFO mobile application is available on EPFO’s website and is exclusively in APK format, functioning solely on Android phones.
Note: This app is only operational for Android users.
Members can conveniently activate their UAN accounts and view their monthly credits through the passbook, along with other account details available through EPFO. Likewise, EPF pensioners have access to their pension disbursement details via this mobile app. Employers can also check their remittance details.
Activate UAN via SMS
EPFO has introduced an SMS-based UAN Activation Service to access EPF Balance and other account information. Members can activate this service by sending an SMS to 7738299899. Upon UAN activation, members gain access to various EPFO services, including credit alerts, passbooks, and balance inquiries. This service is especially beneficial for members without smartphones or those unable to download the mobile app. EPFO offers a Short Code SMS service enabling members to retrieve their details, contributions, and PF balance via SMS to 7738299899.
The activation process is simplified through an SMS-based method, allowing members to activate their accounts conveniently. To activate, the member needs to send an SMS with the content “EPFOHO ACT,” followed by their 12-digit UAN number, and the 22-digit MemberID to 7738299899 from their mobile phone. For instance, if the UAN is 123456789876 and the Member ID is XXYYY12345670007654321, the SMS content would be “EPFOHO ACT,123456789876,XXYYY12345670007654321,” ensuring no space before or after the comma. Once activated, members gain access to all services offered under the UAN program, including credit alerts and passbooks. This feature is particularly beneficial for members without easy access to computers or smartphones. Send the SMS to 07738299899.
